I build digital systems that connect complex code with the people who rely on it. Over the past nine years, I've shipped full-stack web apps, architected email and CRM programs, and run the analytics, growth, and automation that turn them into results.
As the Web Developer & Technical Strategist for the City of Detroit, I set the technical direction for our digital presence: standards for accessibility, security, and performance, plus the cross-departmental initiatives that put them into practice. I select and onboard technical vendors and make sure staff have the tools they need. One milestone was designing an in-house inventory application that manages 23,000+ items across 20 distinct locations.
I also architected the department's first GovDelivery email program: responsive HTML templates, systematic A/B testing, automated communications, and the SOPs that keep it running. On the growth side, I run paid ads across Meta and Google, conversion optimization, and technical SEO, all measured through GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
Through Webdroid and First Hill Marketing, I take freelance work end to end: winning B2B clients, then shipping modern React/Next.js apps and custom ecommerce, and leaning on AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Zapier to move faster. When I step away from the editor, my focus shifts to education, designing curriculum and leading workshops that give students their first real experience building for the web.

Architected my department's first dedicated email marketing program from the ground up, building processes for campaign development, scheduling, and performance analysis. Shipped responsive HTML campaigns through GovDelivery with A/B testing, and ran Meta and Google paid ads promoting elections emails and events to drive registrations and attendance. Automated seasonal-staff comms (including Election Day logistics) and authored the SOPs the team still runs on.

Direct the education arm of Webdroid: build curriculum for after-school and adult web-dev courses, run a community gaming lab that doubles as a recruiting funnel for the tech program, and design pathways that move students from first-day HTML to shippable React projects. Won and delivered B2B website clients end to end, from prospecting and proposals to launch. Built responsive web apps and email templates, engineered custom storefronts on WordPress/WooCommerce and Shopify (Liquid) with Stripe, and stood up GA4 and Google Tag Manager dashboards. My Workspace: a Notion-style App
A personal Notion-style workspace that goes well beyond notes. Infinitely nestable pages with a TipTap block editor and debounced auto-save, plus a built-in budget tracker, voice recording, and AI that extracts structured data from your notes into databases. Rounded out with book look-ups, an auto-generated journal that spins up recurring to-dos, image uploads to Cloudflare R2, an installable PWA, and a companion Chrome extension that clips images from any website into a chosen note for moodboards and other creative work.
